*I remember "patent leather" black shoes from the military, where people had trouble shining their shoes well enough. Now we have "patent blackmail" from un-resolved court cases? If I were Microsoft, I would put that money in escrow, because if they lose the patent case(s) against Google, won't they be liable to suit to recover all those license fees? If they win, sure, but if they don't...it seems risky. - Dan
