The DEMO Fall 2013 conference kicks off today, giving more than 40 startups and entrepreneurs just minutes on-stage to pitch their products before a crowd of investors, reporters, bloggers and potential customers. The DEMO pitch has been the first step for startups that have grown into industry main-stays, such as VMware, salesforce.com, TiVo, and E-Trade. Years from now, the companies debuting at this year's DEMO conference might find themselves in similar company.
